Capability isn't authority.
When a tool can make a recommendation, who remains responsible for the decision?
AI can help us see patterns, prepare options, and make room for more useful work. That does not mean every task it can perform should become a decision it is authorized to make.
In work that affects people, the useful question is not only ‘Can the system do this?’ It is ‘Who understands the context, who has the authority, and who will answer for the outcome?’
Professional judgment needs room to operate. A recommendation should help a person think, with enough context to question it. A design that rewards automatic agreement can weaken the very expertise it is meant to support.
At TTS, our starting point is human agency: use technology to strengthen people's ability to act thoughtfully, and make responsibility clear.
